Well, besides being drugged on hydrocodone after my wisdom teeth extraction, time has just been movin' along. Or maybe that is because of the hydrocodone? I don't know.

I finally got a chance to listen to the new Animal Collective album, Merriweather Post Pavillion. I must say, it is good. Really good. I've been listening to it on repeat for awhile now. Some of the songs are actually pretty dancy. I love it. As of now, my favorite track is "Brother Sport". I remember when I first started listening to Animal Collective. I didn't think they would really catch on to a lot of people because they were kind of "out there." I need to see them in concert. I definitely recommend checking out this album/purchasing it and NOT downloading it illegally.

Another artist I've been listening to a lot lately is Shogu Tokumaru (pictured above). Yes, he's Japanese and his lyrics are in Japanese. He kind of reminds of me of The Dodos, Andrew Bird, and Sigur Ros. I'm a fan. Even though I can't understand what he's saying, I know it's about something very pleasant. There is something very whimsical about it, and I like that. I don't have to think to hard when I'm listening to his latest album, Exit. I can just sit back, relax, and enjoy.

I recently discovered David Berkeley. If you enjoy artists such as David Gray and Damien Rice, you'll definitely like this guy. I haven't gotten his albums yet, but I will definitely be doing that in the near future. Songs range from just him, his guitar, a cellist and a trumpeter to a full band. I'm one of those people that thinks different seasons bring different music. Corny, I know, but this is definitely an artist I would associate with the end of winter and the coming of spring: just easy going and smooth.

So, Yeargan showed me this website. The Cobra Snake. Please check it out. It basically consists of ridiculously trendy/scene/indie kids at parties. It almost makes me want to vomit. I think if Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, and Buffalo Exchange could produce offspring together, this would be their baby's photo album. I mean, I consider myself somewhat trendy, but damn. I can't even compare to these people. I guess I need to step up my game.
